Your Vinted tax return, without the calculator

Since 2024, Vinted reports sellers above roughly £1,700 or 30 transactions a year to HMRC. Knowing your real figures is no longer optional.

Received, not invoiced

What matters is the amount actually received in the period, not the date of sale. On Vinted, where funds sit in your wallet before being paid out, the gap between "sold" and "received" easily runs into hundreds of pounds a quarter.

Your figures, grouped by period

Fripilot shows, for each period: total received, number of sales, and the split per shop if you run several. What you declare is a figure you can read, not one you have to rebuild from statements.

The £1,000 trading allowance covers casual selling; the moment you buy to resell, profits are declarable. Fripilot gives you the profit, not just the turnover — purchase prices included.

Two markets, two rules

If you also sell in the EU, the two are fiscally separate since Brexit. Fripilot keeps UK and EU sales apart, each in its own currency, so neither return borrows from the other. ⚠️ Fripilot presents your figures; it does not replace HMRC guidance or an accountant.

Are cancelled sales deducted?

Yes. A cancelled or refunded order does not count towards income received and drops out of the summary automatically.

Do I need a Vinted Pro account?

No. Fripilot works with a personal account as well as a Pro one. Which status you need depends on your actual activity, not on the tool.

Does it handle several shops?

Yes, and it consolidates them into one set of figures while keeping the per-shop detail.
